Syed Ali Haider Zaidi , Federal Minister
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged victorious in the July 2018 election on a reform agenda based on Imran Khan’s message of justice for all without fear or favor and formed Government in August of 2018.
After a political struggle of over 2 decades, the Almighty bestowed success upon us.
I was elected Member National Assembly from NA-244 Karachi.
The Honorable Prime Minster Imran Khan reposed his confidence and appointed me as Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs.
I had the privilege to take oath as Federal Minister on Sept 11, 2018 from the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.
Globally, the maritime sector has played a vital role in the economic development of many nations. Ports play a prominent role as 90% of global trade is seaborne.
Pakistan is no exception.
Our country is blessed with a coastal belt stretching over 1050 KM. With two ports in Karachi and a third port at Gwadar, Pakistan is ideally and strategically poised to become a regional economic hub.
It is my passion to unlock the untapped marine resources and transform Pakistan into a leading maritime nation.
I seek guidance from Almighty Allah and support from my fellow countrymen to give me strength and courage to accomplish this mission.
